Audio Problems

Audio problems are common in the later Sierra DOS SCI games. There's no single fix for all these games. If there a Windows version you can try it, first, though often there can be more problems with Sierra's Windows games than the DOS versions.

No Sound on Windows XP, NT, 2000
While trying to run DOS games in Windows 2000 (or its kin, NT & XP), you might not get the sound to work. Here are two solutions:

  • [[Emulators/DOSBox/DOSBox.html">DOSBox] will give you sound.
  • [[SoundUtilities.html#SoundCard">A DOS sound card emulator] can also give you sound in your DOS games on Windows 2000/XP.
