My first AGI project, and the only real "project" that's still ongoing. The title was not originally going to be Jen's Quest, but when I released a demo in October of 1998, I needed something to call it, so that's what it came to be called. At the time, I called it the "tentative" title, but considering that it's still what I'm calling the game after eight years, it probably isn't going to change anytime soon.

The game is about a girl named Jennifer who happens to have the ability to change her shape at will. One day, when she goes out to dinner with her parents, who arrived at her dorm without calling first, she returns to find her roommate, Kristen, gone. A ransom note that was clearly intended for someone else leads Jennifer on a quest to correct this case of mistaken identity and save her best friend.

I am actually quite a big fan of this game. The graphics aren't that great (at least in the work in progress that was released) but the story really is great. This game takes character development and character realism very seriously, which makes it all the better. The situations between Jen, her parents, her roommate, are very realistic, and highly enhance the game. Jen just seems like a real person (despite being a shapeshifter). The technical aspects are all pretty good, although I would improve some of the animated views. The set of understood commands is pretty good also. Most everything I wanted to type was understood. Overall, I'd say this game has tons of promise, and I really look forward to seeing more about. Joel, too, is a kick-ass dude.

After years of on-and-off development on the project, I have set a goal to release Jen's Quest some time in 2007.
Note: Unfortunately, Joel has discontinued working on this game. :( He apparently, doesn't have as much time for AGI as he used. But, he is still around.

About

Note: Unfortunately, Joel has discontinued working on this game. :( He apparently, doesn't have as much time for AGI as he used. But, he is still around.
