About
Steve has loved electronic gaming ever since his dad brought home a Pong console in the 1970s. After that, it was Intellivision and an Apple //e computer. After his first job out of college (a boring, real engineering job), in 1991 Steve was lucky enough to start programming on some of the legendary computer adventure games at Sierra On-Line in beautiful Oakhurst, CA and later Bellevue, WA. After nine wonderful years of making computer adventure games, he moved on to the fantastic world of video games and video game consoles.
His video game feet got wet on an ill-fated version of NBA Jam in 2000 at Acclaim. However, that led to his journey at Sony Interactive Entertainment of America where Steve still codes away with joy to this day. He states, "Such a great industry where your work contributes to the enjoyment of hundreds of thousands of game players." Steve's first game at Sony was The Mark of Kri in which he enjoyed a fantastic experience in enemy AI programming. Since 2002, Steve has had the pleasure of programming audio on MLB: The Show. He says, "I am part of a team of wonderful people who all have the common goal of continuing to push forward the boundaries of making the greatest baseball video game of all time. In the words of “the immortal” Chico Escuela: 'Baseball has been berry, berry good to me!'"
