Patches
Aces over Europe
Aces over Europe Update (AOEPAT) & ZIP File [93.2 KB]
- This patch fixes lockups and errors on some Packard Bell and Acer systems. It also includes new joystick drivers which should help joystick control on faster systems.
Aces of the Pacific
- This is for the non-Collection Version only. Enhancements include in this patch are refinements of aircraft performance, graphics, sound, radio messages, scoring, weapons performance, and other features. This patch also updates the game to version 1.2 and will convert either version 1.0 or 1.01 (or previously patched versions).
WWII1946
- This patch corrects several issues that were discovered in 1946. Below is a brief outline of the issues that were addressed:
- Single Missions:
- Tapes will now be saved correctly in training missions.
- Career:
- Pilots stationed on Kokubu airbase no longer fly missions from the middle of the ocean.
- USAAF pilots no longer get assigned to attack American warships.
- USAAF pilots no longer drop out of autopilot with "friendlies encountered" messages during escort bombers missions.
- The program no longer displays a Shell System Error when the player squadron is given a new aircraft type.
Red Baron
- Improves joystick response in Red Baron (VGA version only!) on faster systems. NOTE: This archive contains patches for both the 3.5" and 5.25" version of the game. All CD versions of the game have already been updated with this patch.
Red Baron Mission Builder
- This patch disk will fix the video problems that can occur on some systems when running Red Baron Mission Builder.
- This patch file corrects the VGA problems found when using Red Baron Mission Builder and the STB VGA video card.
Red Baron II

- This patch will update Red Baron II to version 1.05. It contains a new flight model, and a few other fixes. Please see the readme file (READMEFM.TXT) which will be installed into the game directory for more information.

- This patch is an all-encompassing patch, and should properly update any version of RBII to RB II 3D 1.0.7.7. This update includes 3D single and multiplayer capabilities. Please refer to the readme for some important system requirement information and a complete list of features. This patch does not include the dedicated server portion of the patch.
Red Baron 3D
- This Red Baron 3D patch (Version 1.0.7.8) will allow you to see game servers from within the game interface if you could not see them before. This patch will only apply to the 1.0.7.7 version.
- This update, for advanced users, will enable a system to act as a dedicated server for Red Baron 3D multiplayer. Please review the readme file for more information.

- This utility will fix the single or mmp dat files to allow sound in RB3D while using Windows XP.
A-10 Tank Killer
A-10 Tank Killer Config & Setup file [6.42 KB]
- The CONFIG.EXE contained in this ZIP file will allow you to override the SmartStart installation and manually choose the options for your system. This is not a guaranteed fix, but it has been very successful.
- This patch contains a new joystick driver which corrects joystick problems, primarily those associated with using a faster computer (386/33 or better) with a game card that does not offer speed calibration. It also corrects problems seen when using certain mouse drivers.
- This patch will resolve the clicking sound that is heard on some systems when playing A-10 Tank Killer.
Silent Thunder
- Adds joystick calibration feature, enhances DirectSound capabilities, allows weapons to be fired even without a weapons lock. Works only with US version of game.
