Patches

An "Oops" error that occurs on the beach after lighting the "Lamp of Wisdom".
An "Oops" error that occurs on the beach when trying to light the match.
Allows Larry to stop the tram more than once if he doesn't get the batteries the first time.
For the Leisure Suit Larry Collection version of Leisure Suit Larry 6. Use the save files (lsl6sg.013 and lsl6sg.cat) to restore just past the Lockup when filling the lamp with cellulite. You may notice some inventory items you did not have earlier. Larry 6 is a non-linear game, and as such, you may end up with more or less points and inventory objects.
Provides support for the Gravis Ultrasound sound card. These Gravis Ultrasound Drivers will also work with some other Sierra 32 bit games. These drivers will not work on earlier Sierra games.

New Installer

Works with either floppy or CD versions. If installing the CD version, it will install the entire game to the hard drive for CD-less play.

If installing the floppy version, be sure you have DOSBox installed before running installer.

If you do not have DOSBox installed, you must be online to when you install the game to allow the installer to download and install DOSBox for you or the audio file will not be decompressed. To accommodate PCs without a floppy drive, for the floppy version this installer is designed to work by using the files from the original media copied to the harddrive. Because some files are named the same, the files from multiple disks often need to be kept separate to avoid overwriting each other. To install these games:

  • Create a temporary folder on the hard drive.
  • Inside this folder, create a numbered folder for each disk, i.e. "1" for disk 1, "2" for disk 2, etc. one for each disk.
  • Copy the contents (files and folders) of each disk into its appropriately numbered folder,
  • Copy DOSBox installer for the game into the same temporary folder.
  • Run the installer from this same folder.

Leisure Suit Larry 6 (SVGA CD version)

This game has no real debug mode (anymore), but yet it had some leftovers of one, which were actually worth to mention. Trigger certain actions by clicking 4 times with the "hand icon" on the following list of objects:

FRONT DESK LOBBY::

Command Action
Left chandelier Gives stuff to fix cellulite machine
Right chandelier The maid's cart is now upstairs
Ashtray Gives you ThunderBird's sequence
Counter door Gives you Char's sequence
Counter top Gives current free memory

HALL WITH ELEVATOR:

Command Action
Plant above elevator Shablee has the gown and gives Larry the condom and champagne

LARRY'S ROOM:

Command Action
Overhang above toilet door Gets the plumber to work on sink/toilet
Right-most plant Choice between certain events to execute

LARRY'S TOILET:

Command Action
Towel rack Gives the towel, toilet cover, toilet paper, hand creme, brochure and the wash cloth.

STAIRS LEADING TO BEACH:

Command Action
Big tree Gives you Shablee's sequence

PART OF THE LOBBY WITH SWIMMING POOL ENTRANCE TO THE NORTH:

Command Action
Right sculpture Gives the swim suit, your room key and the inflatable beaver

END OF THE LOBBY (TO THE EAST):

Command Action
Right sculpture Gives matches for Art

ROSE'S ROOM (OR WHEN LOOKING AT HER):

Command Action
Bottle of grease Gives flowers for Rose

Interesting fact: When clicking 4 times on the big tree, to activate the "Shablee sequence", somehow the debug mode gets activated (sort of), because the game will react to key combinations used in debug. However, being removed, it will terminate the game directly with the error "cannot find 911.hep". Also, clicking 4 times will be reduced to 2 times.

References

  1. Type 0x85 resources are 'memory' resources, which are only used internally.
  2. The script resource split introduced in SCI01 was incorporated into the actual resource layout in SCI1
