Description
Anders M Olsson's SUP (Sierra Unprotection Program) removes the CPC copy protection from most AGI games, as well as Thexder and 3-D Helicopter Simulator so they can be played on modern PCs. It patches the SIERRA.COM in AGI games so that the keydisk prompt no longer appears, CPC.COM is no longer loaded and the buffer which would be filled by CPC.COM with the decryption key at run-time will be already filled at program start. Or in short: It just "cracks" SIERRA.COM. It has an "express" option that allows you to unprotect all Sierra AGI games installed on your hard drive in a matter of seconds.
Note:
Never try to unprotect your original game disk. Sierra games on 5 1/4" diskettes are normally write protected, but 3 1/2 inch diskettes may not be. Make sure that the original is write protected before proceeding. While running this unprotection program, you will be asked to insert your original game disk. This is only required for reading the copy protected track. Nothing will be written to the original diskette, provided you follow the instructions below. When games use more than one diskette, only the first one is copy protected. The other(s) can be copied by DOS, whithout any processing.
Version 2.00 of this software has been enhanced to be even simpler than before. An "express" unprotect option has been added, enabling you to unprotect all Sierra software installed on your hard disk in a matter of seconds. Normally, everything is menu-controlled, but a more flexible command-line option for DOS-experts is also provided.
See AGI DiskFree Decryptor for decrypting AGI games on modern Windows.

Development Status
Further development of Sierra Unprotection Program has been abandoned.
Usage
Copy this .exe into the folder of your protected game. Running the decryptor .exe alone will search for "sierra.com" (to find the key offset), and will create a decrypted AGI file called AGI.EXE (the file you will use to run your game). If your loader is named something other than "sierra.com", you just run the decryptor with that loader filename as the argument.
